Thirty years across bedside ICU/CVICU nursing, enterprise EMR implementation, and federal health-IT program management. A former U.S. Army Nurse Corps Captain, ICU Head Nurse of a mobile field hospital, and staff and charge nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he was the CHCS default superuser, an informatics role before the title existed.

Barry brings computer-system-validation discipline since 2001, the C.A.R.E. Framework, and a builder's hands: 15 AI applications shipped across 8 platforms. He is usually the only nurse in the room, which is exactly the point, nursing adoption starts with the principal, not a translator between clinical staff and IT.
